Theme Parks
We have projects literally spanning the globe to the Far East - China and Thailand, to the Middle East, to Europe and here in the United States.
HDI was privileged to work with Universal and BRPH on their monumental new theme park to be built here in Orlando. Universal Orlando's newest $6 Billion Theme Park: Epic Universe, as it will be called, will be the fourth and the largest of Universal Orlando’s current holdings. It will feature a theme park, an entertainment center, hotels, shops, restaurants, and more.
Over the past two years, HDI has worked closely with Universal Creative and BRPH to produce all interior documentation from Concept to Construction Documents for an entire land’s interiors, roughly 330,000 square feet. We are not able to discuss the design or the ‘land’ that we’ve completed until publicly announced.
Currently the park construction is on pause, hoping to be picked back up with an opening in 2024 due to the pandemic.
Harbin Wanda City Opens for Business.
HDI is pleased to announce the opening of Dalian Wanda Group’s Harbin Wanda Theme Park – part of Harbin Wand City in Harbin, China on June 30, 2017. This was another successful collaboration between the Architect, RVJMA and Interior Designer, HDI – a relationship spanning over 15 years. HDI provided the Concept/Schematic Interior Design package along with the parkwide Signage package.
Harbin outdoor Wanda Theme Park ornately reflects Russian characteristics and Oroqen culture, demonstrating the charm of Harbin, the central city of Northeast Asia. The area has 5 themes; namely the Harbin Avenue, Xing’an Snowfield, Fisher’s Song of Ussuri, Lilac Fairy World and Moment of Celebration, which perfectly intertwines entertainment and cultural elements. Specially-designed European parades and Russian-style performances create an exotic cultural blend and a romantic aura.
Rendered plans, RCPs, elevations and sections facilitate quick approvals from clients as they provide visuals that inspire as well as bring the project quickly to life. HDI begins all concept work with full color illustrations and SketchUp models.
HDI worked closely with the Walt Disney World Entertainment division to create parade floats for various parks.
